I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
